While living in Pascagoula, she attended and was greatly involved in the First United Methodist Church of Pascagoula for over 45 years. She taught art classes at the church for 20 years and Sunday school for 18 years. Also, she volunteered in the Genealogy Department at the Pascagoula Library for several years. Ruth loved to bake goodies and stay involved in activities. She was a kind and generous person with a good outlook on life and an inspiration to others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Christian; parents, Ralph and Marion Brooks; two brothers, Ralph and Francis Brooks.
Left to cherish her memories are her son Brian (Edna) Christian of Sand Hill, MS; and sister Elinor Parker of Groton, Connecticut.
