"His Lord said unto him, well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." ~ Matthew 25:23 KJV
On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, Cynthia Odette Hicks Harvison entered into the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ and heard the words of the scripture above. None before her have displayed the love, service, and dedication to her commission on this earth.
Cindy was born to Charles and Irene Hicks on November 4, 1966 at George County Hospital. She was a graduate of Leakesville High School and the University of Southern Mississippi. For 24 years Cindy worked at the South Mississippi Correctional Institute. She served her church, Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, as the Bible School director, as well as Sunday School teacher. With a beautiful voice, she would warm the sanctuary with her vocal talents.
Cindy Hicks Harvison's legacy lives on in the life of her husband of 23 years, Mitchell Harvison; her son, Derek Cone (Karma); daughters, Chasity Barry (Brent), Madison Harvison, and Sara Harvison; and 5 grandchildren. Cindy also leaves behind her loving mother, Irene Pierce Hicks; sister, Regina Hicks Williams; brother, Charles Hicks, Jr. (Kelley); and a host of nieces and nephews.
