Bobby Dean Strickland, 67, a native and resident of State Line, Mississippi passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 at Ochsner Medical Center. Bobby Dean was a logger and believed in putting in a hards day work. Bobby Dean never met a stranger and would help others in their times of need through benefits and trail rides. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially turkey and deer hunting. Bobby Dean was a prankster, always cutting up with others. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Jessie Strickland; son, Timothy Dean Strickland; sisters, Jewell Pickett and Geneva Cameron. Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Sarah Strickland; son, Casy Strickland (Hannah); daughters, Mary Ellen Williams (Stanley) and Anitra Gonzalez; grandsons, Timothy Raylan Strickland, Dillon Cooley (Bridgette) and Tyler Gonzalez; granddaughter & sidekick, SarahGrace Gonzalez; granddaughters, Mallory Cooley and Megan Dudley; brothers, Jr. Strickland, Lamar Strickland (Belma) and Jerry LeVon Strickland (Meisha); sisters, Beatrice Staley, Earnestine Moore and Vongia Lee Fountain (Michael); other relatives and friends. The wake will be 6-9pm Monday, October 19, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home in Leakesville, Mississippi. The funeral service will be 2pm on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Coaker and Bro. Dickey Tew officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Creek Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Dillon Cooley, Donavan Nadel, Justin Dees, Clay Strickland, Chris Turner and Kenny Strickland.
