Woodrow McLeod, 81, of Stateline, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital. He worked at Singing River Electric Company and retired after 36 years of service. He loved to hunt and trade guns in pawn shops. More than anything he loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mosely and Verba Rae McLeod; grandson, Dex McLeod; siblings, Johnny McLeod, Annette Hembree, Bernie Smith, Gladys Robertson, and Ellen Rae Sykes.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Opal McLeod; children, Karen Gilley (Jerry), Woodrow “Rex” McLeod, Jr., Vickie Lynn Mancel (Chug), and Archie Steve McLeod; grandchildren, Dusty McLeod, Noah McLeod, Brittney McLeod, and Chipper Mancel; siblings, Danny McLeod (Debbie), Patsy Hilbun (Don), Linda Gail Whittington, Hazel Hilbun, and Mary Strickland Goodman; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with a visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 am.
