William “Fuzzy” James Brown, 79, of Browntown, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018. He was a pipe welder for most of his life, but did various other jobs including working as a mechanic, carpenter, was a constable for 16 years, and was a proud member of the NRA. He was a life-long member of Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Jettie Brown; mother, Helen Whisenhant; brothers, Arthur Brown and Jackie Brown; sisters, Barbara Ann Thomas and Alice Whisenhant.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 55 years, Odessa Kelley Brown; daughters, Kelly Turner (Scott) and Kimberly Hollingshead (David); siblings, Catherine Brown, Margaret McLeod, Fredrick Brown, Gene Brown, Adrian Brown, Ricky Brown, Carol Lewis, and Doris Hrinsin; grandchildren, Ashley Corey (Mark), Brandon Turner (Nathan), Corey Rutland, and Katlin Rutland; great-grandchildren, Logan Newburn, Aaliyah “Bug” Sullivan, Bradley Rutland, Avery Corey, and Sonny Rutland; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The wake will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 5-9 pm at Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 11 am at Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church. Interment will be in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with Rev. Karl Causey, Rev. John Clifton, and Rev. Russell Brown officiating.
