Mrs. Frances Evon Crocker, 81, found haven in the arms of the Maker on August 17, 2019 at 10:15 pm surrounded by family at the Greene Rural Nursing Home. She was a resident of Mt. Pisgah community bordering the town of Leakesville, Mississippi. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother who loved to sew, cook, spend time with family, and work in the garden. She was a faithful wife for the past 39 years and was a faithful saint that attended church at Mt. Pisgah UPC. She was a strong godly woman who will be greatly missed by all.
Mrs. Crocker was preceded in death by her son, Baby Beck; her parents, Fred and Annie Carnley; brother, Franklin Edward Carnley; daughter-in-law, Cammie McLain; and grandson, John Michael Crocker.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Henry Calaway Crocker; daughters, Sherry Bradley (Scott), Flora Grimes (Johnny), Becky Cooper, Margie James (Ronnie), Melissa Steele (Michael), and Carrie Lecates; sons, Timmy Castleberry, Henry Crocker, Jr. (Kristina), and Samuel McLain (Cammie); siblings, Ethree Taylor (Jimmy), Racheal Stewart, Ruth Bell, Rev. Ronnie Carnley (Bonnie), Mildred Sapp, and Kaye Ham (Bill); 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The wake will be Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 6-9 pm at Mt. Pisgah UPC. The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 12 pm with Rev. Karl Causey and Rev. Ronnie Carnley officiating.
