Arlena Gilley, 75, passed away at her home in Leakesville on Sunday, July 22, 2018. Some of her many careers included hairdressing, head of house-keeping at the Greene Rural Nursing Center, and working as a seamstress at the Neely Factory. She attended Son Light Community Church. Some of her hobbies were reading, crocheting, and dancing. She also loved outings with her friend, Charles Lake, visiting and going out to eat with her niece, Nina, and Sunday visits with her daughter, Olivia and twin granddaughters, Hazely and Jazlyn. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Gilley; mother, Almaree Brown Dearman; sister, Marilyn Dearman; brother, W.H. Dearman; aunt, Eunice Platt; and grandparents, Lula and Wiley Brown.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Olivia Gilley, Clint Williams, Liane Williams, Mel Williams, and Mandy Gilley Riley; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her dog and companion, Precious; many close friends at Turner Duvall; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The Funeral Service will be held at Freeman Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 1 pm with a visitation prior to the service beginning at 11:30 am with Bro. Jimmy Holcomb officiating.
