Curtis Joseph Ledet, Sr., 74, a resident of Neely, passed away on May 30, 2018. Curtis was born December 4, 1943 in Larose, LA. He was the son of Harold Joseph Ledet, Sr. and Norma Brunet Ledet. He did many things over his life and was known for being a jack of all trades. He worked offshore, was a boat captain, a welder, a carpenter, owned his own construction company, and was a sheriff’s deputy. He loved to hunt and fish, including crabbing and shrimping. More than anything else, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was loved and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Norma Ledet; and his brother, Harold Ledet, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruby Ledet; children Curtis Ledet, Jr., Gala Ledet, and Lyle Ledet (Pamela); sister, Susan Richardelle (Rene); grandchildren, Shana, Christy, Bryce, Hunter, Darby, Abbie, and Dustin; great-grandchildren, Ray Mack, Bentley, Branson, Harper, and Rynlee; aunt, Sue Cambre; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A wake will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 5-10 pm at Neely Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Neely Baptist Church with Bro.
