Rebekah Rozelle Langele, 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Sparrow Hills Assisted Living Facility in Lucedale. A graduate of Leakesville High School, Rozelle worked and retired from Basila Manufacturing Company. She loved to garden, read books, and cooking for anyone that she could. Mostly known for her pound cakes, she would always carry food to the sick, elderly, and her friends. She was a life-long member of Sweetwater Missionary Baptist Church, where she loved to sing southern gospel music. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Fredrick Langele; her parents, Homer Jackson and Flora Kathrine Neel Turner; and her son-in-law, Brian Henderson.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Eddie) Ezell; grandchildren, Kimberly Henderson (Neil Roberts), Jason Ezell (Jennifer), and Tessa May (Tony); great-grandchildren, Kate, Justin, Britt, Kallie, Emma, Claire, Dylan, Haley, Macy Claire, Collin, Landry, and Evan; two special friends, Enmon Shoemaker and Dale Kittrell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The Funeral Service will be held at Freeman Funeral Home on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 3 pm with a visitation prior to the service beginning at 2:30 pm with Bro. Charlie McNeil officiating.
