John Neal “Buddy” Kittrell, 88, of the Vernal Community, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the George County Regional Hospital. He was a member of Vernal Presbyterian Church. He loved fishing and hunting, and did many things throughout his life such as; operating heavy equipment, dirt work, farming, logging, and served in local Law Enforcement as a constable and deputy sheriff in Greene County. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Kate Kittrell; daughter, Debbie Shawn Kittrell; son-in-law, Emile Robicheaux; siblings, Dorothy, Buck, Lois, Lamar, Larue, and Eleanor.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosie Lee Everett Kittrell; children, Barbara Robicheaux, Joe Kittrell (Gwen), and Terry Kittrell (Angie); sisters, Betty Jo, Joyce, and Pat; grandchildren, Heather, Tara (Tommy), Joey (Meagan), and T.J. (Autumn); 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Freeman Funeral Home with a visitation prior to the Funeral beginning at 9 am. Interment will be held in the Kittrell McInnis Cemetery with Bro. John Henry and Bro. Philip Williams officiating. Pall Bearers will include, Joey Kittrell, T.J. Kittrell, Tommy Mayo, Richard Everett, Doug Miller, Mike Ross, and McDaniel Brewer with the honorary Pall Bearers being, George Edward McIntosh, Ivan Hobby, Sonny Ball, George Bullock and Doc Everett.
